Veggie Burgers 🍔

Usually when the you say burger , the image that comes to your mind are juicy- meaty burgers. Patties are the essence of the burger dish .


A veggies burger is a burger patty that does not contain meat but vegetables – pretty sure you might got the idea from the name itself 😁.


The veggie burger recipe below is flavorful, tasty, easy to make and simply satisfying.


Ingredients (For 6 veg patties)

  • 2 grated potatoes 🥔

  • 2 grated carrots 🥕

  • 1 cup gram (besan) flour

  • 4-5 onions chopped

  • 1 tsp chilli powder

  • 1 tsp coriander powder

  • ½ tsp turmeric powder

  • ½ tsp pepper powder

  • ½ tsp garam masala (optional)

  • Salt to taste

Method

  • Place the grated carrot and potatoes into a cheese cloth and squeeze the water from the veggies completely and then place the grated veggies into a bowl .

  • Add chopped onions, chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, pepper powder , garam masala into the bowl containing the veggies and mix well .

  • Add the gram flour and mix it well – you may use your hand to mix well (clean hands 👐 please !!) . Remember to add salt to taste .

  • Pour little olive oil to a pan (medium – low flame) and the take a scoop of the mix and obtain a circular patty shape using your hand (clean hands 👐 please !!). Place the patty on the pan and cook both sides well. Your veggie patties are ready to be used for your veggie burgers.
